Food and the circular economy continue to be key agenda items at World events such as the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit in New York which will reportedly “seek to set the stage for global food systems transformation to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030”. Historically, governments, academics, policymakers and big corporates take center stage at such events. There are SME’s who are creating catalytic work in food systems, their voices are equally important.

NatureWrap participated in the virtual ‘Meet the Buyer: Food Innovations’ ‘Meet the circular economy food innovators’ event which was attended by retailers, hotels, food services and investors who understand that reducing food waste is a business case and is urgent, sentiments echoed by Dave Lewis, Group Chief Executive, Tesco.
